The job was initially given to Manu Makhotia, a20-yr old office boy, during the promotional part. The greatest point in his tenure was when he greeted Pratibha Patil as part of a promotional activity.
Later, when high officials spotted Satish Bidla, a hard working persoanl assisatant to high ranking official in the Organising Committee of the Commonwealth Games, his fun loving nature struck them hard and he was given the job and Manu was made his secretary. Overnight, Satish became a celebrity and was all over the television. The sad thing is, now that the Games are over, Satish and Manu can't earn the same money anymore.
