Quizzically Yours

X is a chain of restaurants run by cooperatives. A total of 13 coops run around 400 X outlets. It was closed down by the British in the 1950's since the business was not doing well. The dismissed workers, under the able leadership of Y, a communist leader, took over it to run it without any management. The first such coop was founded in Bangalore in 1957.
